Bad cropping
How can I fix these photos? I tried and tried, they still not getting accepted.

I think cropping isn't really the issue. I think it's the shadows falling across the locomotive that is getting this one rejected. I'm not sure if you can do anything about this one.

Just crop off the stuff around the locmotive and leave the units in the picture

I know BNSF SD70MACs aren't exactly uncommon power, but to have one on the point of a train coming through Leetsdale IS uncommon. Because of cab signalling, foreign engines are usually relegated to trailing positions. A very cool catch there! Perhaps at the time of day when that picture was taken, move a little closer to the entrance of the Industrial Park by the eastbound signal bridge. There are less shadows there.

If your sole purpose is to have your photos accpeted to Railpictures, or any other site, then you're pursuing rail photography for all the wrong reasons. There are several other places you can post your photos.

That said...

The photos in question would probably best left in the personal collection. The shadows take a little bit away from the image, and the second looks overexposed a tad. However, I like how you captured some fire damge on that 2nd unit. :D You may want to try this shot earlier/later in the day when the sun is higher and it should eliminate the shadows.

Good shots of a really interesting consist. Standard angle, but the exposure is right on. If cropping is an issue, you may want to take some off the right side (in front of the locomotive) of the image. The shadows are minor and shouldn't be a problem, except to extreme nitpickers.

Quoting the movie further: "I got a fair idea the kinda personal emotions that some of you fellas may be thinkin'. Heck, I reckon you wouldn't even be human bein's if you didn't have some pretty strong personal feelin's about nuclear combat."
