Sunset shot composition

Good evening gentlemen!

I've run across the following rejects. These are two attempts at the same image.

Any thoughts? Reshooting is possible.

Can you get that pedway a little more centered in the shot? kinda like the second one but it looks a little tight on the right, maybe go with the same on the right as on the left

Bad crop almost always means your subject is "too" centered.
Top to bottom, not right to left.

Both crops, everything is moving around but the engine - sort of.

Maybe the screener would object less to more sky and less foreground?

Just a best guess.

The people on the bridge are a nice touch.

Indeed! To me, it makes the shot. I took several shots while the train was stopped at the station to get some people more or less centered in every window.
