Apparently I Cannot Scan Slides Either

I'm thinking they are not liking the number boards, but another set of eyes would be appreciated:

Thanks in advanced.

I think it's more than that... screener may have seen too many digital shots and expects that level of sharpness from slides. Though there is a softness to it, it seems well within acceptable limits for slides, and you may wish to appeal this one. Just my $0.02 worth.

Such a great shot, btw. AA must have been a fun subject, and a shot like that very rewarding to have taken.

I agree, Mike. I see nothing wrong with the quality of that shot taken over 30 years ago. Maybe it can be sharpened a touch, but I wouldn't really be that picky about it.

I've shot this line up to where it only goes to now, and it is one of the most beautiful lines in the state of Michigan, I can only imagine it in the days of Annie. As for the slide, I know there is a bit of leniency with them, and yes, there are some flaws, but based on historical value, this shot should get a little leniency.

i think that your shot should be accepted.

I'm not going to appeal, I sharpened it a bit selectively and am going to resubmit after server midnight, along with another classic shot. Touched up version has been attached...

I honestly don't get it. How does that shot not get in?

Very confused.

Well, at least it didn't get a second rejection...

Version 2 is oversharp based on halo on ridgeline in background. There was nothing wrong with the original. Good photo - Annie was one of my favorites.

I agree. Glad, though, that Kyle did what he needed to get the shot in! Cool to see the AA in a scene rather than a wedgie.
