Help with Bad Color

To be honest, I've appealed this shot as the color looks right to me. But I've been wrong before, so thought I would ask here too.

Maybe a little more juice, but I'm surprised that it wasn't pardoned due to its age.

Looks ok to me. I guess you could reduce the green channel a little, or bump up the saturation to appease them perhaps.

Loyd L.

Thanks, Gents - if the appeal gets rejected, I guess I can bump the saturation - I truly hate juiced pictures myself though, so I'll have to find a medium that keeps me happy.

I'll check the green channel too.

Freericks 03-15-2013 08:45 PM

Appeal rejected without comment. Will juice it up. Lance Armstrong will be proud.

JimThias 03-16-2013 04:07 PM

As Loyd suggested, get rid of some of the green tint before juicing.

I did a little, Jim (it's in the DB now), but it went to Tinky Winky purple really fast. I mean sky, white on the trolley, everything.

I don't think I can go any further than this.

JRMDC 03-16-2013 07:34 PM

How sad it is that I did not have the experiences as a child so as to know what Tinky Winky refers to. :(

Freericks 03-16-2013 11:31 PM

Not a childhood experience, J... a fatherhood experience.

Over the hills and far away.... Telly Tubbies come out and play...

Sounds like you allow your kids too much TV!!! hah hah

being a parent, I do not judge the parenting of others, lest I be judged myself. My kids happen not to be TV types (daughter is a massive video type, thought), so I have yet to see the teletubbies.

JimThias 03-17-2013 06:14 AM

I have no kids and I know who, or rather what, Tinky Winky is. Just another part of American pop culture, I guess. :-)

In fact, when I read that Charles thought his photo looked purple in his "calling myself out" thread, my first thought was to photoshop in Tinky Winky.

His age?

Charles, the "white" car in the background on the right is not "white."

Fix that, and I surmise the rest of the colors will fall into place.:p

Opps, never mind.

I didn't read the whole thread.

Freericks 03-17-2013 06:55 PM

Okay - it's more purple now - using HG's suggestion. I honestly can't tell anymore... but having made this fix, the old version looked really green to me, so this seems right.

JimThias 03-17-2013 11:21 PM

Looks much more vivid to me now. I like the fix. :-)

No more tubbie custard for you, Charles.

I must admit, when my daughters, now 21 and 16 and 16, watched this religiously back in their prime (which was a very delightful time for me), I initially got the creeps a little at the phone-speaker thingies coming out of the ground ....lol.
