Unsahrpened(soft) in the snow

if I try to sharpen the picture, will the blurred snowflakes become less noticeable?

Try to sharpen it some more. With shots like this or zoom shots on hot days it is best to focus on the closest subject otherwise the entire image will look soft.

I shot at f11, is the sidee of the Metra locomotive going to be sharp even with all the PSE in the rold thrown at it?

There's snow all over the ground, we don't need to see individual snowflakes to know the weather was bad. The Metra and signal bridge are soft, thus sharpening is needed.

lens out a bit next time, maybe. there's nothing worse than a floating signal bridge!
