You are also missing the reporting mark. Instead of just 6014, include the reporting mark, which I'm guessing is "WAMX 6014".

Also I don't know your area or this particular locomotive, but as far...

I'd also comment on the composition/balance. The train here is vertically centered which I am not a fan of. I would recommend choosing to either add top or add bottom (depending on preference/what...

Lighting aside, all three suffer from some composition issues with the subject vertically centered with dead space on the bottom. At minimum I would suggest something more closely following the ROT...

Agree with Kevin's comments, and another item worth noting is that just because it's a rarely photographed location doesn't mean that's clear to the screeners or the average viewer. At the end of the...

I've seen the same issue with using different aspect ratio than what the TO24 thumbnail is, but it's usually not as noticeable when it's that small.

As Loyd mentioned, there seem to be a number of issues here that would prevent this being accepted, but fwiw I don't see image quality as the big one. I assume they only picked that because it's the...

I agree with Kevin on his assessment, I think the lighting is good and backlit nose wouldn't be a killer here on a broadside shot. However, I can see what he means with some of people becoming...

That's also a good point. I think I was speaking more about when first starting out with RP or with rail photography in general. I think as you learn and develop your style more this may change, but...

Quality issues aside, that out of camera crop is much more pleasing in my opinion, where the train is not being cut off by the edge of the frame at left.

I think you're right on with your assessment. Tighten it up overall, especially on the left side. And then up the sharpness, personally I find I always need to sharpen more for RP than what looks...
