If you're leaning towards the big lens, I suggest looking at the 150-600 Tamron G1/2 offering as well. I put in a lot of good work with it, and consider it superior to the 100-400 Canon offering...

I would surmise when the contrast and color is fixed it will be accepted. While the reason was incorrect, a rejection was justified until some tweaking is done.
