The whole point of HDR, which seems to be missed by a few, is to make up for the fact that it's simply impossible to capture the entire dynamic range (= range of bright to dark) in a single exposure....

Bridge is not bad at all. If you're not ready (or budgeted) to jump into Lightroom, Bridge is great for batch processing, tagging, and adding metadata.
