Great catch Jay! Congrats on being first with a picture of it on RP!

Why is there never a shiny new coupler for a shiny new loco? Nice catch.
|
Because couplers are far from shiny when they are new. And its illegal to paint them.
|
The train is CN 399. It's taking forever to get to Chicago tonight
|
By the way, nice shot. About time someone got a shot of these things

Hey its a wave of the future on thie train. The North American Railroad looks so good with these 3 paint schemes. With all the other trains on the CN in Southern Ontario, it sure was a North American Railroad type of day. :-p

AWSOME SHOT! I've seen the NS 70M-2s but man the CN units makes the NS units look like there 5 years old
|
Sharp looking unit ! Wonder how long until these start looking like the 75I's with their faded noses.

Nice you dont often see a GP-60B

Couplers come finished with rust to protect them against oxidation of the iron in the steel.

Great Shot !!

I love that photo. I am from Freeport, IL and the CN owns the line. Me and my friends that also love trains would to see CN runs a few of those through here. Though there are only two merchandise trains a day that come through here, me and the rest of my crew hope on seeing one or two. Once again, nice photo. Love the GEVO behind it! Big BNSF fan!
