What's with the red classification lights? Is this a normal part of CN engines?

The engine is equipped to be Dual Power Unit (DPU) which is why it has Class lights

CN has always used the EMD "style" windows on their widecabs. Maybe for winter weather or just visibility. Dont forget CN and CP were also pretty famous for their cab window styles.
