Actually the G-5's were much lighter than 2317, they had 34,000 lbs. of tractive effort while 2317 has 45,000.

Correction on how many are left, as in G5's left. 1201,1238,1246,1278,1286,1293. 1293 is the only operational one currently but plans to restore others include 1246 and 1238.
