Neat shot.

Excellent shot Chris. This is definiatly one of my favorites.

Thanks guys, a foggy lense can add some cool effects to an already snowy timed exposure. My idea was to get just the two noses, but as the shot went on, the Dash in the background started moving back, thus the slight blur. I wasn't happy at the time but after further analysis on the computer, that Dash 9 moved just enough to make this an excellent shot... I enjoy the depth of field.

Very unique and interesting shot. The snow and fog just make it better.
Very unique shot Chris, definately grows on ya.
Nicely done, it looks like a postcard scene, PCA voted.
Very cool picture, Chris. Happy holidays.
There are a lot of cool aspects to this shot. Like the fading around the locomotives, and the fact that this image is razor sharp. PCA vote from me.
Everyone else has said what I was thinking. All I can say to you is that I'm giving this shot a PCA Vote. Thank you for staying out in the cold to give us this great photo.
Notice how close the front axle is to the front of the locomotive, awesome effects also.
Awesome shot, but I scream Photoshop to the max, not that I care personally, but......on RP.net?

why does that AC4400 have dash9 hi-ad trucks is that somewhat unusual? I did not even know bnsf had AC4400's in the roster
Amazing shot, and to the above comment I doubt its photo shopped but even so its an amazing photo.

It looks more like yard lights reflecting off of blowing snow and making glare in the picture. It might look Photoshopped in the thumbnail but at full size it doesn't.

Gorgeous shot Chris. Good Work. Keep it up.

Excellent photo and a PCA!
Richard Turtle you did well with this shot ! Congrats !
A very unique picture executed perfectly! Kudos on this one, Chris!

Some people seem to think this is a photo shop product. I gaurantee the only reason this photo ever entered photo shop was to get resized for this site. The "haze" around the image is just common lense fog from sitting in a warm car, then blasting out into the snowy cold. Usually inconvenient, this time it happened to work to my advantage. What you see... is what I saw on my LCD screen seconds after the exposure was taken. Cheers!

Wow, it's amazing what can happen when things don't "seem" to go your way, sometimes the coolest effects come about due to seemingly uncontrolable events.. excelent work.

If the early bird gets the worm, the bird that doesn't go to sleep gets the T-bone steak! Wonderful shot; a night of little sleep sure paid off in spades!
