WOW! Talk about Undulating track. I bet that area has eaten LOTS of knuckles. Great shot with a great perspective. It shows that the railroad is anything but flat.

Very cool shot Donald. Looks like a roller coaster.

great shot Donald!!!!!!!
Looks like a snake ;)
WOW. I bet they have one heck of a time taking loads up that hill.
Beautiful shot, Donald! I think there might have been an accident with the locomotive type: SD9? ES44AC! Very nice photo, Donald. The clarity is really nice, too!
I'd just love to see a video of this spot. Great shot.
Like any job, railroading really has its ups and downs. Great shot.
Really an amazing shot Don.
Wow! Stunning telemash. Looks like one crazy roller coaster ride for the crew.
Reminds me of a toy I used to play with when once a child....the name escapes me now. One heck of a shot and doesn't look physically possible. Check out the rough track also.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words and encouragement. I enjoyed the opportunity to take this photo while visiting a great friend who works for the BNSF and lives in the Fort Worth area. Also, thank you for pointing out the incorrect engine type. I had looked it up with multiple searches and many results indicate the SD9, but I also found one that states it is an ES44AC and I trust the members here know what they are talking about!

Nice shot of the rolling hills.
Donald, don't feel bad, the BNSF still lists these as SD9's occasionally...Beautiful shot as well!
Great Shot!
One of the best railroad shots that I have seen!
What can I say now?
Simply enthralling and awesome together!

Nice picture! You must have hiked a little off the road to get it. I wonder what a load shot would look like on top of the hill? The entire route to Texas is a roller coaster... this is why these trains are run 2+2 DP and are shorter (120 cars to fit in sidings) than the trains on the Central Corridor (130 up to 150 car sets).
