One MRS1 (Military Road Switcher 1) is still alive and ableat the Museum of Alaska Transportation and Industry in Wasilla. They are basically SD7s or 9s made to fit through European tunnels and were used at bases all around the country to move coal and other materials and in the process train "enlisted" train engineers.
