Beautiful terrain, well captured!

Wild shot - looks odd without snow.

Everything about this image is excellent. For a moment, I can appreciate the Jenga rock piles in the foreground, and then the tracks lead my eyes up through the rich red rail cars and on to the fascinating structure on top of the hill. And finally, contrasting snow-covered mountain peaks and blue sky. Perfect composition, IMO.

Thanks Guys for this "Photo of the Week" Award!

No double stacks up there I take it? Awesome shot by the way.

Wow! And it wasn't flagged for crooked horizon! THAT is a place i'd love to visit. Recall riding up to Pikes Peak a few years ago and at the park at the top our train was greeted by a guy smoking a cigarette. . . at 14,000'! THAT is some lung power!

Wow, beautiful photo that brings back very nice memories. I rode the train to Gornergrat in 1969. The view from there of the Matterhorn, and especially the large glaciers, is fantastic. I still use slides I took from there in my teaching. Thanks for posting this excellent photo.

Beautiful composition. Quite the intriguing-looking observation building as well.
