That's pretty neat. This car could have been pulled by one of the famous steam engines, and here it is still working.

There was actually 2 of these cars on train!!!!! I have seen about 6 or 7 of these cars in the past few weeks. Two of them had Cookie Box lettering showing thru the paint.... A rolling time machine.....

It's a shame they probably won't repair what appears to be corrosion located below "Grande" down near floor level. Would be great to keep this classic on the high rails. But after 70+/- years of service, there's probably more severe corrosion in the understructure. No corrosion prevention was taken back then when this classic was built. A great catch. Hope to see more photos of such survivors that are still performing their job.
