If a person wanted to get away from everything for a while then this it it. This area is just south of I-40 between the Fenner and Ludlow exits. There is a road which generally follows the BNSF tracks with a few grade crossings. There are also a couple of communities along the road as well. I think that this is part of the the old US 66 route. You could literally stop on the pavement for a few hours and not see any cars or people at all. When I was there about ten years ago, there was a lot of train traffic mostly stack and mixed freight. Be sure and take plenty of water with you if you go there as it does rather hot in the summer.

Nice photo and "rather hot" is probably the understatement of the year.
