I don't know what is of such interest to these crewmembers as they regard the great old F arriving on a train from Arkansas. The unit came from SP by way of WAG.
Nee SP, ex WA&G unit is parked and appears to be sort of the roundhouse queen.
Bringing in a train from Arkansas this ex-SP unit has just crossed the IC line which is now KCS. As a point of time reference this was over 29 years ago and even then we'd drive several hours out... (more)

I took this photograph during a Niles Canyon Railroad ride.
When I saw the picture on Railpictues of #45 at the Sacramento Museum I dug this out of my collection.
This former SP F-7 leads a train of mostly ex-SP coaches. These locomotives and cars were being moved from the old site of the Golden Gate Railroad Museum to the Niles Canyon Railway.
