Tax day and another freight is waiting to head across the mountain and up to Nashville. Not an old unit but showing a lot of signs of hard use.

A pure merchandise train when most were coal loads or empties. The head end has just passed the north switch of the long siding.

In those days just another southbound coal train. Overgrowth has probably blocked this shot by now.

Rambling along north of town right along the Mississippi is the local on double track. Had a great place up high across from the state park and enjoyed vacation immensely.
