Ominous clouds and heavy rain covered the area of Dale Junction, Wyoming, however as the Union Pacific's Big Boy locomotive rounded the corner, the clouds parted and bathed the area in light.

Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 poses for some night shots during a photographer's event hosted by the Western Pacific Railroad Museum. The stars were shining bright on this warm evening.

For my last shot of the chase. I was able to catch the Big Boy on the eastern out skirts of Elko. In the nice evening light.

It's a beautiful scene as the 4014 rolls through Deeth, Nevada. The crew looks like they are living out there dream job. Hanging out of the cab, enjoying the evening.
