Federal regulation requires additional signaling (automatic train stop / cab signals, etc.) for trains operating at 80 mph and above. Wouldn't it have been nice if the federal rule said "81 mph and above?"

Some roads still have this type of equipment on old passenger routes (Florida East Coast, portions of UP (west of Chicago) and BNSF (ATSF line across Kansas, San Diego line, etc.)
