Default Brooke a regular in Motive Power Magazine

A few months back Brooke had a photo published in Motive Power magazine through a public vote, her image had the most votes so was printed. Since then Brooke has been made a regular contributor and has had several other photos published, including this shot of the new SCT locos and well wagons, that was published in the special year in review pictorial issue, one of the harder issues to get a shot in.

Tony Graham and Mike Moy from Motive Power also came out to Tahmoor Public school and gave Brooke's stage an overveiw on how the magazine is put togeather. Heres a link for those interested, there is a full story and profile page there also.

Congrats... that's wonderful. How old is she now?

I can't get either my son or daughter trackside anymore. The latter was never interested and the former has lost interest.

Wow, congrats to her! I wish I could have taken photos that good when I was her age. My first photo in the DB was from when I was ten but it took a lot longer before I really got the hang of things.

Wow - congratulations to you and Brooke!
I didn't correlate that photo to Brooke seeing it wasn't steam - it's a gem.

I sure wish I was taking pictures like that at that age... or even twice her age.

Best of luck with future endeavors, Brooke.

"A few months back I promised one of our aspiring young photographers a visit to her
school. This came about after a question I posed the young girl "What do others, particularly
your girlfriend's think about you taking pics of trains?" As I expected, the response was "They
think I am a bit weird""

LOL - I was wondering if you knew what you got each other into...
Looks like you put a positive spin on the hobby!

This is so great to see. I have a feeling that she will have a very successful career as a photographer if that is the path she takes.
