Question Help on the Seligman Sub

I will be going up to spend the day on The Seligman Sub in the Flagstaff area this weekend , and would aprreciate any help and or tips as to good and accessable photo locations in this area. Is my first trip railfanning in the west and want to try and make the most of it.

It's been 20 years since I've been out there but get a good map and stick to the "old" roads and you'll be able to follow the right of way. For starters, go to Google Maps and type in Flagstaff and you'll be on your way.

Talking check out:

Going west on I-40
Bellemont
Maine
Chalender
Williams Jct.

Going east on I 40
Cosnino
Winona (Darling)
If you drive further east or west you are back into the tree less high desert.

Pick up some snacks and drink and pick a spot. Let the action come to you.

Expect a train every fifteen minutes......

Drop in at Amtrak in the evening (9:56pm)and witness arrival and departure of the westbound SW Chief . It might soon be on the endangered list.
