Default Good Morning America Whistle Stop Tour

Looks as though the GMA television program on ABC will broadcast from the rails next week in preparation for their coverage of this year's presidential election.

Make sure to check out the 'GMA Train Technology Tour' video segment. Amtrak seems to have prepared a special train for the occassion. Looks like they converted an F40/cab car into a platform for transmitting their TV signal... very interesting indeed. First I've heard of all this, although I never watch TV in the morning.

See below:

I believe they will only be using the train for the first week then use something else. It doesn't sound like they are visiting all 48 states via train.

Yes thank you Frank, this was burried further down in the article:

"The "GMA Whistle-Stop Tour" will travel through seven states, making several stops along the way, as the show broadcasts live from four states and Washington, D.C., over five days."

What 7 states is the train supposed to pass through? I suppose security will be very tight all along the route of the train, making it difficult in many places to get anywhere near it.

Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Pennsylvania (again), Maryland, West Virginia, Maryland (again) and the District of Columbia.

If you are on public property, you can get near it.
