Default CSX line through La Grange, KY

Is there any set time(s) when you can catch some action in town? I've been on I-71 a about a dozen times in the past few years and I've only seen one train, an auto-rack, running through there between La Grange and Carrollton. I'm guessing eastbound F-150's from Louisville frequent this line. Gonna spend an evening/morning in the area this weekend. Would I have better luck Thursday afternoon/Friday morning or Monday afternoon/Tuesday morning? Thanks for any insights!

Hi Carl.

Up to 10 trains pass through La Grange each day. Sometimes less. There are no set times at all. There tend to be more southbound than northbound (some northbound tend to use the LIRC instead). It's just a matter of being there at the right time. As I write this, I can tell you that the last southbound came through at 2022-01-23 13:30 EST.
