Nice photos. You're so lucky that you live in the Pittsburgh area.

1. Seems a tad dark. Try lightening it a little bit but I'm not sure that it'll make it. It might be my piece of crap monitor, but it seems a little too blue to me. Try warming the photo up too.

2. Level the photo to the building and you should be good (never level to polls unless you absolutely have to).

3. Looks unlevel to me too. I'm no leveling expert (maybe Jim Thias can jump in here) but I'd say to level it to the building. Something about the crop seems slightly weird. I guess it works for me (I would have like an actual winding train rather than helpers or whatever) but I wouldn't be surprised if a screener shot it down.

You're definitely improving!

You're right on with your assessment, Jim. #3 should definitely be leveled by the building in the background. That was the first thing that jumped out at me.

And Jen, you might want to make access to your photobucket page "private."

Thank you, Jim and Jim! I will fix the pics and repost them. Thanks for the help!

Jim Thias: Thanks...I haven't used my photobucket in years. It's not a big deal if anyone sees the photos but ehhh what the heck. I switched the other albums to "private". lol Thanks!!

Ok, all I did was relevel the Ohio Central engines and the NS Helpers one (I love the picture myself but I suppose we'll see what the screeners think) so I'm not going to repost them.

However, for the OC Bridge picture, I can't figure out how to make it not blue so I put it away...and got this one out. Do you like it better??

Thanks, Guys!!

That one is a no-go, Jennifer. You can hardly see the train...and even when you do search for it, it's too dark and blends into the surroundings too much.

Jennifer, Hint if you look over to the bottom right of the page you will see "Image Link Code". Copy and paste IMG code into the forums.

I agree with Jim Guest. The first one looks slightly blue, atleast on my monitor.

I'm a fan of the second one and the third one. I'd rotate the second one again, as it looks unlevel to me. The third one looks pretty good!

Good luck!
Chase

I like the first angle of that train myself. I'm not a fan of the rails being cut off. Either way, I think it's a good shot.

Congrats on the OC one!

Nice shots Jen. I like the OC Bridge, too bad you got skunked on the sun light. I notice that Track 3 is now shiney. Last time I was at West Park, it hadn't been in use. Is the work at West Pitt complete?

Yes. I think the first one is a much stronger composition, and I agree with Chase about the rails being cut off. The first one gives a very good sense of location. The cropped version leaves me wondering....

Ok, let me see here....lol

Chase: Thanks for the kind comment!

Kevin: Thanks! I think all the construction is complete at West Park. I didn't see any and they were using all four tracks yesterday when I took this picture.

Jim: I guess I should listen to Ben a little more often. lolll He likes the first one as well. I just thought some wouldn't like how the left side is sorta dead space, but I guess it's not really with the rails there. Thanks for the opinion!!!

Common consensus: First One!!! Okie doke. I'm going to level it (since I haven't yet) and try it. We shall see what happens!

Dead space, perhaps, but INTERESTING dead space. And I see the screener agreed. Nice job.
