Foster Townsend Rail Logistics owns a fleet of locomotives that serve industries all over the Saint Louis area, and many of their engines wear very bright and colorful paint schemes. FTRX GP50 1970 shows off one of these schemes - an attractive brown and orange scheme - in the morning sun in Sauget, Illinois, on October 4th, 2014. Built in January 1981 as Missouri Pacific 3512, this engine would become Union Pacific 972 following the UP-MP-WP merger in 1982. UP later renumbered this engine to 1670 - the number it still carries for new owner Foster Townsend Rail Logistics. Photographed on private property with permission and full PPE.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
