When one thinks of Whitcomb the first locomotive that comes to mind is the U.S. Army, 65-Ton, 650 H.P. "humpback". Dozens were built for service oversees during World War II. When they returned to the U.S. after the war they went to shortlines and industrial facilities in the U.S. and Canada. This one's third and last industrial home was the large Canadian Car and Foundry plant in Ville St. Pierre, a western suburb of Montreal, at the west end of CN's Turcot Yard.
