A large part of New York MTA’s BMT Brighton Line through Brooklyn is in the open, although still below grade and, therefore, still technically a subway. A B Sixth Avenue Express enters a brief segment in the sun as it passes between a pair of street overpasses and the short tunnel under the Church Avenue Station. This B Line train is comprised of Kawasaki R68A cars built in the late 1980s. (Brooklyn, New York – May 11, 2021)
