Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Dash 9-44CW 4906, operating with FURX SD40-2 7287 (ex-BNSF 7287, originally BN 7287) and BNSF GP38-2 2277 (ex-BN 2277, née-SLSF 422), approaches Cajon Pass' Tunnel 2 as it heads from San Bernardino CA to McCook IL. Both of Cajon's tunnels were removed two years later when the BNSF mainline was expanded from two tracks to three in 2008 ... and another two years later, in 2010, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad was renamed to just "BNSF Railway," a bit less of a mouthful, but also just "alphabet soup".
