Union Pacific GP38-2 815 was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division in February 1981 as Missouri Pacific 2315. When, on December 22, 1982, the MoPac was acquired by the Union Pacific, this locomotive eventually became UP 2315 (on February 23, 1993). The Geep was assigned its third roadnumber on August 16, 2002, when it was renumbered UP 815. (Valley, Nebraska – May 14, 2013)
