Remarks & Notes
In 2022, the UP transferred UP SD60 2205 (ex-UP 6050) to the ALS, and sent it to their North Little Rock (IA) Shops to be repainted into ALS yellow and blue on January 6, 2022. Roughly two and a half years later, ALS 2205 was found at ALS's yard in East Saint Louis, basking in some nice afternoon sun. The UP's influence can be seen in the typeface used for the cab numbers, exactly the same as UP Gothic. This locomotive has been reclassed as an SD62. UP 2204 was also sent to the ALS for service, and repainted in the same scheme. (East Saint Louis, Illinois – October 4, 2024). Photographed on railroad property with permission and full PPE.
